China as a Super Power

You are right. I stand corrected on that.

That makes China's current space program comparable to the USSR's when the latter was at its peak.

Errr By the time the Russian space programn was at its peak, it already had a space station and its cosmonaughts had achieved record breaking endurance tests with their length of stay in space. By that alone the Chinese still have a way to go.

china is still far from been a superpower.
its economy may rank 2nd place, but look at how much it lag behind US both individual and total GDP, it will take decade to catch up, assume china still has same % increase as same as last 2 decade.
Military it still lag far behind US in term of total military equipment and technology.
social unrest become more and more due to gap between rich and poor, the house price in cities are ridiculous. Corruption is another big issue.
As for innovation, we all know most college grad/undergrad are pretty much cheating in their academics/class/homework etc.
chinse company is known for manufacture goods for other to consume, but it hasn't produce/innovate quality product that other developed world have.
even the fastest supercomuter they have is made up using nvidia and Intel/AMD chip.
the bullet train tech mostly import from europe.

That's a pretty broad statement. Care to back it up with facts?

Based on that logic, can you name any company that you think is innovative?

And yet 250 million people on the East coast of China has GDP/Capita based on PPP of $20,000 Larger than most country in Europe

Military it still lag far behind US in term of total military equipment and technology
.

Sure but She is catching fast with what they have And China is deliberately choose not compete with any other country. she spend least of all major country. China spend only 1.5 % of GDP toward military procurement since her main goal is to improve the livelyhood of the peoples

What is this got to do with national comprehensive strength. Any country that experience social transformation like china will have social problem. BTW China is not the worst in term of Corruption See this link

The devil is in the software development of super computer Anybody can string processor but getting it to run fast is different matter. Anyway the processor will soon be replace with domestic processor Loongsoon in the next iteration So hold your breath. NVDIA is Taiwan company Read this about Longson processor

As far as the contention that bullet train is European tech, is nothing but sour grape. If Europe is so good how come they don't have bullet train that run as fast ?. The socalled tech transfer happened in the 80's, is for 200km/ hr train. China has improve on the technology and they own the patent and NOT EUROPE

I can recall a conversation I once had with a senior exe of a very large international corp over 25yrs ago. He told me he considered 3M one of the most innovative in its products and management staff arrangements. It was one of the first companies to allow profit sharing of successful products with its R@D team, and it even came up with the cash , to .allow staff to pursue their own pet projects.

However I never did question the validity in what he told me. but i also remember reading an article a couple of yrs later about 3M in Time or a similar type of magazine, commenting on their pioneering approch to what ever it was research?

Provide some primary evidece to back up your argument? What is your definition of total military equipment and technology? Number of guns? Number of tanks, planes?
social unrest become more and more due to gap between rich and poor, the house price in cities are ridiculous. Corruption is another big issue.
Work on your English please before you make an argument... Do you have stats or numbers to back up your claim, if not, a empty claim like that is me saying the Osama Bin Laden is my next door neighbor.
As for innovation, we all know most college grad/undergrad are pretty much cheating in their academics/class/homework etc.
Are you saying more than 50% of the college and undergraduate students cheated into college and through college? Now that is not just an argument, it is a disdain on the college students of China? I bet even if they cheated like you, half of them are still better than you at English

Did you know the co-founder of Nvidia was from China? Also, I assume that you have seen and used the fastest supercomputers in China? I dont think so

Dthe bullet train tech mostly import from europe.

Overall, you provide no primary or secondary evidence for any of your broad claims. And when discussing serious matters like you stated above, the lack of primary evidence just make you look like an idiot

We can get a glimpse of what a superpower China would be like from this photo.

China is boldly telling the world that it expects to be considered "big brother" in East Asia. Here, Wen Jiabao appears before world leaders in what appears to be a modern interpretation of a Chinese Emperor's gown.

The statement to the world is: China is reasserting its traditional sphere of influence in East Asia. The world view of the Chinese imperial dynasties is back. Before you is the "Jiabao Emperor."
