I picked spain at the beginning, so I will say VIVA LA FURIA ROJA

Seeing the Netherlands was my sentimental favourite , ill stick with it, but Spain on its last performance would have to be the favourite

Sorry, my mistake. Because my mind is full Netherlands . Yeah, I mean Germany will win Uruguay easily. But you know, the ball is round and it's really hard to say.

Germany would probably win by a big margin if they score an early goal. To counter the pacy German forwards, Uruguay would probably play a defensive game to win by smaller goals margin.

Edit: Forgot this's a third place playoff and not a do-or-die game. Uruguay would choose to play a defensive game no matter what, win or lose - pointing to winning by small goal margins for both teams? Let's hope this is not so, for the sake of an exciting game!

Paul says Germany will win and they did. He also says Spain will, so that's where my money goes.

In the words of my lovely wife in regards to the World Cup as I was clicking through the Tv channels and happened on Germany Vs Uruguay 3rd place game(WTH)...she says..."When is this thing going to be over? It's been going on forever!" and I answered "tomorrow"..just in time for NFL camps to open Are you ready for some football??!!

I Notice the The Spanish Courts have ruled thats theres no validity in the Catelonians being granted independence from spain so maybe the Barcelonians and all the Catelonians are calling for a Netherland victory, so maybe the Barcelonian team members will through the game?
