The picture on post #582 is the original model, the sail having sharp squared edges, the sail rectangular like a Kilo's sail. The previous picture or the picture above is the second model, with the rounded edges on the sail. The third model has web like extensions at the base of the sail, with the base of the sail wider than the top of the sail.

President Xi inspect submarine squadron. Love how they use stainless steel on the hardware. Has anyone noticed the PLA has switched to baseball cap style head dress instead of forage caps recently ? I think it is more for the "work/garrison dress" uniforms then service dress.

We can see part of the long flank sonar over there partly obscured by the trees but that's not something new.
