I was thinking Yuans, kind of like Project 636 Kilos can do with the Klub or Kalibr missiles. But then again, the Type 032 was developed to have some VLS in the bow, which is intended to test launch something.

More pics. There might be variations among the subs. I think one of them might have something for a submersible on the back, while the other has a kind of opening. TAS winch? A bit too far forward for that but that's what it remind me off. I like to see the front bow of these two particular submarines more closely.
Some other examples of submarine VLS. This is from the Virginia class. It differs very much from the LA class.
Inside it looks a lot more like a boomer's launch tube that is sleeved for smaller missiles. In this case I think its like the Ohio's.
SAAB looks to do the same approach with its SSK design.
I would think that doing the same approach to the 094's tubes might be interesting and can convert the sub into a cruise missile platform.
And speaking of which, this is the Type 032 caught with one of its VLS tubes open. The fact that its on this sub means the PLAN is more likely to pursue this kind of VLS on a future submarine, with the VLS in the front. It would be interesting though if they pursued the sleeved approach to the 032's ballistic missile tubes on the sail, which can enable the submarine to carry as much as 24 cruise missiles instead.

Not sure whether those are for missile. They seem too small. But the others might be.
The one that is open, I think not for missile, come to think of it. It might actually be just a hatch.

Some major rumors breaking regarding the 093, 093B, and future submarines. The reason I posted this is because some other reliable observers have been saying the same thing recently.

- There is no "09IVA" but rather a retrofit of existing 09IV submarines
- The 09III with the "hump" is actually designated "09IIIA", and serves as an interim (much like the 052B destroyer) between the 09III and the newest 09IIIB
- The 09IIIB is considered a "new" class of submarines (as corroborated by the CCTV reports of PLAN receiving a new type of submarine) and is rumored to carry six YJ-18 missiles vertically launched
- 09IIIB may be modified to carry more missiles in the future
- **Two fourth-generation submarines should be in construction simultaneously**
- First 4th-generation boat expected to launch in 2020 and serve in 2022
