09III/09IV (093/094) Nuclear Submarine Thread

I basically didn't read posts in this thread as I saw some altercations, but I think you guys should consider (I might miss it LOL for the reason I just gave)
what if the action wasn't one-sub against one-screen
I mean the Chinese might've had last laugh if two their subs had slipped past Japanese assets, or the Japanese might've had good laugh if they had seen two more Chinese subs leaving the area

hope it's obvious I'm conjuring, based on LOL something like Vego's "Soviet Naval Tactics" and other stuff related to Cold War

(1.) Sun Jianguo was surprisingly not promoted to Commander-in-Chief of the Navy last year, despite many people expected. He was the top of pro-submarine faction.

(2.) 095 hype including shaftless rim propulsion seems like pro-submarine faction is demanding more budget for submarines.

(3.) "Meanwhile, Shang II production appears to have stopped for now at four."

All these support the theory, PLAN's pro-submarine faction may have frustration in submarine budget. This frustration is against Xi Jinping.

Only means --- and everyone knows this --- the surface fleet / pro carrier faction of the PLAN is ruling the roost. But a pro submariner has been placed in charge of procurement recently.

As for ending in "four" submarines, last September there was a new nuclear submarine completed but scant detail was given as to what it is.

If PLAN's pro-submarine faction is expecting enough budget for submarines in the future, they wouldn't need to appeal/demand more budget by using strange shaftless rim drive hype.

How is China submarine force small or low budget? now their operation is still within first island chain, so they use conventional diesel submarine is enough cost/performance wise, and they have plenty of diesel submarine. shaft less rim drive is for after around 2025 when they want to use nuclear 095 to further expand their operation, future proof their technology.

"The headline reads simply “Navy Type 093 Conducts Escort in the Gulf of Aden” [海军093 型核潜艇亚丁湾护航]. A small photo accompanying the item shows a surfaced submarine in the foreground with a merchant ship and two warships in the background. Not much additional information is provided, but the report follows others that suggest that Beijing is routinizing nuclear submarine patrols

I never heard of such a thing. Likely you made that part up.

This article says interesting theory,

"For multiple reasons that will be shown, it is extremely difficult to support the claim that Huludao’s new facility will build the next generation of Chinese nuclear submarines."

This (also) suggests Chinese nuclear submarines production may not be well funded.

You just lost even more credibility by quoting TNI. The fastest way to lose an argument in this forum is by quoting TNI, Dave majumdar, Dave axe, or gordon Chang. Basically if u did, the exact opposite must be true.

Guys I don't know what happened but it seems as if a as recent trend in this forum it became quite popular to constantly provoke, to openly demand other members banning.

This will not be tolerated and I promise you, the next one who in the public demands anyone else to be banned will be banned permanently right the next moment.

If you think someone broke a certain rule - esp. insults or nation bashing - then please report that certain post ... and after some time we will take care, but this behaviour is inacceptable.

And now back to topic - which is the PLAN Type 093/094 SSN/SSBN - and surely not the Australian sub-contender, French or Japanese submarines and other stuff.
