Why the rush? Do you foresee a conflict in a decade or something? And besides what PLAN need to speed up on are more attack SSN & SSK subs. Most of these ships in PLAN inventory are vulnerable to credible US, Japan sub forces.

The main focus for these LHD should be ASW, but I'm sure it is. Expeditionary should be second afterwards

Plan view of type 071 with 075.
    Much more accurate dimensions.
    071 - 210.0m x 28.0m (Taken)
    075 - 231.3m x 36.8m (Proportional)

The beam of 075, as one can see, is quite a bit wider than previously estimated(30m) and both Wasp(31.8m) and America(32m) class as the latter are limited by Panamax standards.

Total usable flight deck area seems to be in close comparison to the US LHD considering the 075 island is quite petite but the lifts hinder quite a bit of area.

so it's significantly wider than the Wasp, this explains why it has comparable displacement to the Wasp inspite of being shorter.

I don't think so, the width of the Wasp class (31.8m) and the America class (32m) are referred to the beam at waterline, therefore the width of the flightdeck (without the elevator) of these three LHD should be relative the same.

Alright, i think its pretty accurate USS wasp flight deck is 118ft(35.9m)
So 075 flight deck is just as wide if not a bit wider than USS Wasp. Still, the largest thing to fly off its deck for atleast a decade would be Z-18,20, not Chinook,Osprey or F35, so space shouldn't be an issue.

It’s Z10 instead of Z9. There is also a black helicopter that looks like an armed Black Hawk.
