These seems to be older images. There are not radar installed on these ones, as compared to an earlier pictures.

    I think its clear

China is now here to challenge Western dominance

and it looks like they want to do it head on

with 8 x LPD and 3 x LHD plus 2 x STOBAR and 1 x CATOBAR this is by far the most capable fleet second to USN

now the fact they are building 3 x LHD simultaneously and like they built 4 x Type 055 at breakneck speed this shows they are sending a clear message

They didn't have to build that fast and they dont have to even sometimes do double launches but they do it

basically China is no a longer a economic power but now a fully blown naval power

LHD construction has really changed things

    I would like to see 3 x Type 075 @30,000 tons and 3 x Type 075A @40,000 tons

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. China is still a few decades away from challenging the US head on in waters outside of the Western Pacific. I personally think they are not yet even ready to realistically challenge the US in the Western Pacific. Maybe in 10 years or so when the new ships we see now are commissioned with some years of operational experience behind them.

Those Soviet style STOBAR carriers with limited numbers of J-15 and no fixed wing AWACS onboard are nowhere near as capable as USN super-carriers. Not even comparable to the likes of HMS Queen Elizabeth.

That said the 075 LHD is looking pretty good so far.

That CATOBAR will be the first of many and I seriously doubt the PLAN will stop with 8 LPD, given China's ambitions and the expansion of the PLAMC. I suspect we will see a Type 071A class in the not-so-distant future. China is building a blue water navy capable of challenging the USN on the high seas, although they still have some catching up to do, especially in areas like aircraft carriers, naval aviation and submarine technology.

    I'll repeat my prediction: 12 LPD + 6 LHD by 2025.
