GREAT pics guys!

The first ESF Type 071 LPD and two more to build. Pretty exacting stuff!

Once they build one more and get to five, that will give them more large (San Antonio class sized) LPDs thjan anyone else on earth outside of the US Navy.

Right now, with four, they have caught up with the current second place holders for large LPDs, which are Indonesia with their Makassar class, and Singapore with their Endurance class LPDs. Each nation has four, albeit they displace only half of the Type 071 LPD:

Are there doors for those RHIBs on both sides? I remember years ago there were pics of the 071 model showing the doors on both side. But, I have never seen them on the actual ships from any pics published.

Well, on the Indonesian ships you see both sides in the first two pictures and the openings are there...as to whether they carry RHIBs on both sides all the time or not, I cannot say.
