Maybe a pair of 056A on each of the larger reefs while rotating other ships through. I think they would base an equal or larger number of CG ships on those reefs as well.

That article from 'Jane's' is just a report of catch up news on the 056 Corvette.
If you read their article they say they got their info from Chinese Defence forums..........well that's true because we have already discussed the latest 056 Corvette launchings here when they happened.

Jane's always seems to be a few weeks behind everyone else for news on Chinese military matters.

Another month, and another 056 Corvette is launched.
Latest Corvette, the 40th in the class was launched at HP shipyard on Oct 28th.
According to Henri.K it is an anti-submarine variant.
Anyway, below is a picture of the vessel just before it was launched.

Nice high off-boresight turn; this obviously gives slant-launched missiles more capability vs various target locations, though it might bleed off some energy/range. I wonder if it has enough range to make it to the first convergence zone.

I don't know about weight but looking at that photo there should be enough space for the 056 to have 6-8 AS/ShMs where it only has 4.

I also wonder if the 022s can carry the torpedo ASM and relay targeting info from the 056s as the 022 with its larger 8 missile capacity can better "afford" to carry a mixed missile load.
