PLAN also need ships that has enough creature comforts for the crew to do long cruises

Yes, absolutely. I think the size and tonnage for 056 is about right (excellent value), it may need more automation so less crew is needed ... I'd say 30-40 should be doable (not currently 60+)

China's 27th Type 056 Corvette (Jiangdao class) Huai'an Commissioned in PLAN East Sea Fleet
AZdDFg4.jpg

A commissioning, naming and flag-presenting ceremony of the new Huai'an corvette (hull number 509) of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy) was held solemnly at the Zhoushan Naval Base (located in China's Zhejiang province). The event means that the vessel is officially commissioned to the PLAN. Qujing is the twenty-seventh Type 056 Corvette (Jiangdao class) in the PLAN fleet.

This one also doesn't come with the HMG (x2) mount, or they just choose not to install it? Ain't it typical that in the induction ceremony, ship would be displayed in its full glory?

Is it?
I don't recall seeing many if any pictures of past 056s being commissioned with the bow HMGs installed.

If anything, during commissionings they usually have the sailors man the rails, and the bow HMGs would cause an awkward break in the sailors line on the bow, wouldn't it? In fact I don't recall any Chinese Navy ship (or of any navy) being commissioned with "optional" equipment like HMGs shown.

Those 2 assinged to the HK Garrison has HMG mounts installed on their day of induction ceremony, though subseqent photos during ops or open house they seems to have uninstall the mounts.

Well I just did a brief search of some of the recent past 056 commissionings, and I saw none with HMGs mounted.

I'm not sure which induction ceremony for the two HK 056 ones you're talking about, though I do recall seeing HMG mounts I think from one of your visits to one of the HK 056s on an open day.
