Okay guys...big update and a lot closer to the mark.

I found one of the old Wiki updates before the current nonsense, and then went through this thread and made updates to that. So, please review the following and let's get it right. I believe we can produce and maintain the best list available outside of official Chinese sources.

I now have 27 vessels altogether, 25 launched, and 23 commissioned to date.

Thanks for the excellent update, Jeff! Are there more in construction? I have no evidence to the contrary, but two sound low for some reason.

I believe there almost certainly are...just have not heard about them yet.

And 505 Chizhou, 506 Qujing for SSF, both in sea trials.

I knew you would probably have more info and I will update tonight.

I've read a short paragraph from Hudong shipyard, stating that they have delivered another Frigate to the Chinese Navy, on the 9th October.
From reading posts elsewhere, there seems to be some misinterpretation of what exactly has been delivered to the Navy, as Hudong shipyard don't specify the name or type of Frigate.
I for one tend to believe that the ship in question is an 056 Frigate, No 505.........as suggested by Henri.K.
If the info is correct this would be the 23rd 056 Corvette to be commissioned and the the 7th to be built by Hudong shipyard!

056 is classified as Light Frigate by PLAN, thus hull pennant 505 type 056 Corvette should be the one.
