Is this just 054A, or a new type of frigate?

Edit: I think that is the 24th 054A.

The non-masked bow has the same size and shape as the 054A. Is it masked because it is not a 054A, but a 054B or because it pretends to be a 054B?

Perhaps the Type 054B? Who knows?

578 is said to have entered service. Note that all of her VLS covers are open.

054A vessel '532' Jingzhou, was commissioned on the 5th January 2016.

21 - 054's now active.

This is the 5th 054A to join the fleet in the last year, and we won't have to wait too long for ship, '531' Xiangtan to join as well. Impressive build rate!

Yep, i concur.

The modenization of the fleet continues, still got 13 off the original 053's to be replaced next.

I wonder if they will start replacing the 053's on a one to one basis now.

50 seems like a nice round number to hold steady at.
