Can't tell in the upper photo and doesn't look like it is the elongated version in the lower photo.
What is the current count of confirmed original design 052Ds and elongated 052Ds?
I got doubts on the lower photo being a new one. It still has the older cylindrical shaped ESM that is near the base of the mast and right next to the Type 366 Bandstand radar. The newer batches has more of a capsule shaped ESM. Plus this picture is taken in what appears to be the send off area in Dalian where the ship is waiting and being processed before it is shipped out of the yard to its home base. This is probably the first or the second Type 052D built in Dalian and they are all been moved to their home bases by now.
The upper photo is taken in Dalian. You can see the tail of the Type 055 being fitted there also, of which a complete picture is on the Type 055 thread. So this is a Type 052D being built after the Type 055 and should therefore be the elongated one.
