I wonder why we haven't seen the LACM member of the YJ-18 family yet. If the 052D can fire the YJ-18 AShM then it can theoretically launch the LACM variant as well.

Those 052Ds in Dalian look finished, if somewhat lonely. They are low in the water line which tells us they are fully equipped.

Dafeng Cao tweeted that two of the 052Ds are of a different kind. What different? The length of the ships are extended to accommodate the Z-20 helicopter.

Henri K mentions that new 052D actually has elongated helicopter structure (don't know if helipad or hangar). But I can't even see a 052D in that image with a visible top deck. Only that empty, half built hull is visible so far...

The 17 x Type 052D at JNCX clearly has a larger deck

No doubt hanger can also then take naval Z20

To be honest considering it’s size I always thought the deck was a bit small

Why have you included your tenancy agreement?

Pretty disappointing that a ship design finalised in the late 2000s wasn't already intended to accommodate a larger helicopter in future.
