Here we see the PLAN RIMPAC task force rendezvousing with the Singapore Frigate, RSS Intrepdi, the US Navy Ticonderoga AEGIS cruiser USS Chosin, the US AEGIS Destroyer, USS Howard, and two Darussalam Class Patrol Boats from Brunei between Guam and the Philippines.

This was according to plan. The US, Chinese, and Singapore vessels will now travel together to Hawaii as a Joint Task Force.

Their rendezvous and their traveling together as a Joint Task Force is actually a part of RIMPAC 2014.

If that were me playing patient for those training nurses, my hands would be naughty.

And you'd be "popping Tall" in front of the skipper explaining your actions...that's sexual harassment you know...

All kidding aside, touching in the manner you describe is sexual assault...I wonder how that is really dealt with in the PLA in general.

Amazing. The following photo is the type of thing that RIMPAC makes possible...courtesy of the US Navy. (Thanks to Asif for finding this.)

That's the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), JS Ise, DDH-182, helicopter carrier, docked across from the Chinese Navy (PLAN), Haikou, DDG-171, destroyer, at Pearl Harbor. Both are attending RIMPAC 2014.

Normally, those two vessels would not be wuithin many, many miles of each other.

But, they are both flying the American flag while there in port, and they can come together under common interests and goals with such exercises.

An amazing photo.

Okay, everyone. What do we have building at CSIC in Tianjin? Nestled between two other ships here?

No sonar dome, but this is definitely on the order of a destroyer-sized vessel. Coast Guard?
