Is there reason to believe 841 joined the aforementioned 76th minesweeper squadron, as this is currently made up of merely four vessels? (Or four minesweepers at least, does anyone know what happened to the vessels that made up 76th subchaser squadron before it?)

1) No, but it certainly seems a possibility as 10 Minesweeper Squadron already has 839 and 840 (besides six Type 6610).

2) I have not even been able to locate 76 Squadron, though it is reportedly based at Xuwen.

3) As a subchaser squadron, 76 had Type 037 HAINAN class 678, 720, 724, 725, 726 and 730. The last four are allegedly the 037JZ version, thus likely newer than most and possibly transferred to other squadrons. I honestly have not spent much time on the HAINAN class and therefore cannot say what JZ is.

Type 081A 844 was named HESHAN when commissioned 10 October.

The South Sea Fleet’s 10 Minesweeper Squadron (Unit 91760) Taishan (22 16 52 N 113 04 32 E) is now the largest in PLAN, with a total of 12 units:

Type 081A Hull 9, 845, arrived Shanghai-Wusong today. This is the first from Wuhan, I expected it will go to East Sea Fleet (Daishandao).
