Chinese carrier programme is not in question

Chinese amphibious assault is

I mean the LCAC programme itself is in question after decade and LPD have been operational over a decade still never seen a excercise with loaded LCAC

Don’t know what’s going here but China needs to form a proper ARG

I honestly have no idea why you keep harping on the 726 as if it's in some kind of trouble when almost every satellite photograph we see nowadays shows more and more and more 726s in the water, and more and more shore infrastructure being built to support these vessels. I guess there must be some massive idiot in the PLAN who keeps ordering these vessels as well as the infrastructure for them when there is obviously a fatal flaw hiding somewhere in the 726 design. And how do we know that there is a fatal flaw in the 726 design? Simple: we the netizens of Chinese military sites haven't yet seen an exercise with fully loaded 726s.

I'm "on board" with the 726 in as much as I am simply recognizing the obvious. It doesn't mean I am personally enthusiastic about the design; I'm not.

Shore infrastructures can support any other kind of LCAC, not just the 726. Also even though the 726 have increased in numbers somewhat, the number still hovers around 10 or 12. Far to few to to fully equip both current and future PLAN amphibious ships.
And what Asif says does have a point, not seeing a 726 with a full load after so long a period gives rise to whether the PLAN is fully confident of the 726's performance.
Now whether the 726's possible problems can be ironed out in the future is another matter entirely, but what is clear for the present and immediate future is that the 726 is not being fully used by the PLAN.

It presumptuous to assume there is problem with type because no photo with full load . Fact is they are outfitting now And only recently they are fitted with domestic engine QC 70? So they probably haven't incorporated into the training schedule of PLA marine. So wait and As Iron man said the PLAN commander must be idiot to order 12 if they don't have any confidence in their machine

via weasel1962 Outline of type 75 any comment ?

Uhh, no. First, the shore infrastructure we have seen supports only two kinds of ACV, the 726 and the Zubr. The PLAN does not have any other kind of ACV of the size that could utilize those landing bays. Second, there are only 4 071s active currently, so 10 or 12 doesn't exactly represent some kind of massive 726 deficit. Third, the current boom in 726 construction only started at the earliest last year, once the engine problem was solved, so all the new batch vessels in Shanghai are of the newly engined variety but not yet in service. Lastly, we have already seen a fully loaded 726 (by weight limit), so there is no need to keep waiting/whining.

Just because we don't see another ACV does not mean that China have no plans for another potential replacement or explains why most of the 726 are nearly perpetually tied up in docks and shipyards rather than in the hulls of the Type 071s, more ever it is not just the Type 071s that can utilize the 726s. China also have multiple mobile landing platforms that can also utilize 726s as an assault force. Now we all know that amphibious capability is a very important aspect that China must have in regards for a particular island of its coast, so why is not China ramping up a key platform if it has no problems at all? Given the flexibility it offers.
And finally while that picture does shows a fully loaded 726, it is at this point the only known picture, we have no recent photos of the 726 at full load. Most problems only emerges when things are tested to the extreme after all. If the 726 is fine and all should it not then be used on a regular basis with consistently full load, instead of running on empty or near empty with just a squad of soldiers?

Not every doubt and misgiving is whining as you might depict, but the problem is that the 726's progress has been uptill now remarkably slow. Now if the new batch of 726 continues and that we finally see fresh photos of the 726 with full combat load I will happily retract my statement, but until then I will take forum claims and statements with a pinch of salt.
