She would have to provide fuel for the carrier propulsion too, which is not needed for USN's CVN 's.

Well, we saw these pictures back at the end of November and start of December...I guess until after the Chinese New Year we cannot expect to really see any more.
Some say they launched her...but usually that is accompanied by some pretty nice pics. I have not seen any official launch pics to date.
She looks well along here...got to be close to launch.

Yes...this is the true fast AOR the Chinese have been waiting for their carrier group(s) and other larger task forces.
This reminds me of IIRC a bulk carrier ordered many years ago by the World Wide Clockwork Shipping Company. But the bulk carrier was diesel powered.In the future, once IEPS and electrical storage technology become sufficiently advanced, big replenishment ships should be nuclear powered.
Then they can plug into other ships of the fleet and charge them directly from the reactor.
