c'mon now... while I can see a pirate not being able to differentiate between a burke or a kongo class, or a 052 and 054 I'm pretty sure they know to stay away from ships painted all sea gray with a big gun on their foredeck and maybe a helicopter or two on their stern deck.. cargo ships with thousdands of giant bright orange, green and yellow containers with giant MAERSK or HAPAG LYOYD on their sides or a 200,00 tons super tanker is about as different as a warship can get.

You are assuming that:
1. The pirates can read
2. The pirates have actually seen a ship before their attempt at piracy

For impoverished countries, those are pretty big assumptions.

But along with those "green" pirates, you have a few seasoned ones that have seen ships!

The seasoned ones are the ones running the piracy syndicates. They recruit people from impoverished villages, arm them, set them out at sea with a boat and tell them come back with a hijacked vessel or don't come back at all.

Those that come back with a hijacked vessel are set for life with their cut of the ransom (ransom for hijacked ships are quite ridiculous nowadays, breaking US$100 million routinely, not including the valuables on the ship itself).

Those that don't come back get replaced with a new bunch of kids from another impoverished village.

Chinese version of DART ammunition?

Here is the Finmeccanica DART

It's a little hard to read the caption. Both ones seem to be guided ammunition. The right one, if I read correctly, is for countering ballistic missiles.

In the second picture, the missile on the right looks the same with the missile in the first picture.

Dart ammunition is best fired from smooth bore guns. That gives a higher muzzle velocity and less wear on the barrel. Is anyone using smooth bore naval guns?

Ammo on the right is DART and on the left is VOLCANO, I am not sure what's the context of the picture but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with China, probably just a military magazine doing an article on Otobreda.

probably, I can't see the captions that well. The guy that posted it claimed that China has some kind of DART. I'm not sure what the rest of the article looked like.
