Sun Bo, head of CSIC, has been detained and under investigation for corruption. CSIC has been responsible for the Chinese aircraft carrier and nuclear submarine program, and work is not expected to be affected by this.

This story suggests there may be a link between the detention of Sun Bo and the continuing need for the carrier to be in dry dock after only 5 days at sea
"CHINA’S ambitions in the South China Sea have suffered a setback after its first home-built aircraft carrier appears to be in crisis."

The link you provided is politically motivated and offers little substantion to its own claims (pure speculation) Just because the 002 carrier is back in drydock does not mean there is a series of “technical problems”. Your article goes even further and concludes that the 002 carrier is a “failure” — causing Sun Bo to be jailed. What a garbage/amateur article ... the author appears to be even more misinformed than Minnie Chan of SCMP.

Well I will say this for the Type 001A's apparent hiccups :
There seems to be a spat of problems regarding recent naval acquisitions across the globe. Don't believe me? The UK Daring class destroyers spent more time in the docks than in open waters last year. And there is of course the well beaten horse carcass of the LCS and the Ford to pick over.
It seem that these problems had picked a rather uncanny time to emerge all once............

You can tell the writers, much ado about nothing.

Raj47 just posted on the CDF with a 6/18 satellite image showing the dock containing the new carrier is being flooded. Meaning, the ship is about to move out again soon.

Anyway, Hendrik2000 posted it on the 001A thread #300.
