Are you talking about the photos doctored with parts of the shipyard blocked out?

I wouldn't call that yanking our chains, rather I would call it further reason for us to watch it closer...
If anything all these new photos mean we shouldn't move along and we should watch the shipyard even more closely.

My point is most times we see photos like these photos posted recently many of us get excited because deep down after 10 years of waiting for the first homegrown PLAN CV we THINK we may have one. Then we discover it's all just a ruse.

Yes we need to examine these photos closer.. but the bottom line to me is.. someone is yanking our chain. And after 10 years it gets real old...real old.

Hehe I think that's the fault of the people (myself being caught out a few times too) who got too excited over those last 10 years... only looking at photos, not following the trail of rumours.

In hindsight, now having followed a variety of projects through the rumour cycle to positive verification, it's a bit cringe-worthy to think that previous photos of carriers under construction were even considered in the first place!

Following the development of PLA matters is a constant game of "chain yanking"... not exclusive to carriers. Following PLA products is more involving and interesting than follwoing projects of other nations... where information and pictures are openly given out on a silver platter :p

Guys...this is the Chinese Aircraft Carrier program thread. Studies about a wind tunnel test on a World War II carrier that was never commissioned are pretty much off topic.

I am moving all of that to the world War II historical thread.

No aircrafts, no crews, no sailors on deck, absolutely no visible activities at all. PLAN should change CV16's name to the Flying Chinaman (Flying Dutchman is a famous ghost ship).
Well I presume all of the production aircraft are training for the parade so...
