I agreed it's definitely not an H-6, the profile and body line is too sharp IMO even if it's blurry.

Yep ... never a H-6 !!! .... but what is it ??? ... or even more where was this image taken ??

Deino, if those two comparisons are to scale, then it looks like it's even longer than the H-6, which comes out at 35 meters itself!

EDIT: Assuming that the fuselage height of both aircraft is the same of course (granted, a rather large assumption).

Yes simply overlaying one plane onto another is no way to go about comparing sizes (just remember all the J-20 versus F-111 comparisons).

But I'd venture to say this aircraft, if real, is probably some 30m long. That would place it a healthy size between Tu-22M3 and the F-111. Or about the same length as the B-58.

This CJDBY concept reminds me of some of the fictional bombers from the Ace combat videogames.
the design concept in terms of mission role seems to be closer to the Russian Pak Da; in that that concept clearly indicates a preference to super sonic or better speeds. This differs from the American long range strike concept which emphases stealth and cost reduction.

It makes sense since China has greater needs for tactical bombers, especially for penetrating defenses such as those found in a carrier battle group.

Personally and superficially I'm rooting for the black model we've seen of late. I know the flying wing configuration is probably the best choice. I just like seeing stuff that's different.
The picture shows more traditional tail planes, so my opinion is that this unknown aircraft will actually resemble the yellow model even though that model is less professionally made.

At 30 meters (that's a spec someone provided back in June), it would be blurring the line between tactical and strategic (payload would be at least 10-15 tons).

Some new leaks regarding this airplane has been announced.

1st: this aircraft was developed after the cancellation of the stealthy JH-7.
2nd: this aircraft is designed to go to the second island chain to conduct missions.
3rd: this aircraft had two prototypes built and the location of sightings is Inner Mongolia.

Re: PLAAF new JH-XX / H-X bomber soncepts

did the prototype fall on its side, how can a cameraman on the ground capture that angle?

Not to mention the aircraft's tail in that pixelated photo and size etc all look completely off compared to the first original photo.
