You confused state owned commercial web site (global times) with state media (who speak on behalf of the government). Totally different things.

Nobody here including Chinese members give global times much credit because we know it does not represent the state. Anybody can write something on that site so long as he/she does not run against state direction.

I would not even bother to post articles from it, why do you care to post it and be pissed of it?

It's called need. Future J-20s will essentially not be able to supercruise, not because of their engines, but because they'll be tied down to a H-600 unit that doesn't even have afterburners.

And yes, you're right, it's faked, and not faked well considering the rampant asymmetry between the left and the right. I was asking what you guys thought about it.

That photo isn't even a "leaked shot" it's clearly a shot of an H-6K from a CCTV program that was photoshopped.

When you said "leaked shot" I thought it meant a shot with any semblance of credibility or connection to the real thing, and that PSed H-6 is obviously just a fan made photo and a pretty poor one at that.



I'm not sure why you believe H-20 will have a chance at supercruising, it's pretty much a done deal at this point that it'll be a subsonic flying wing.

Why again mixing it with J-20s?? Why should future J-20 not be able to supercruise esp. if there are reports that already the recent ones can do?? ... what is a H-600 and what is this "doesn't even have afterburners"!???

I'm most confused?

I'm aware of your attitudes towards future stealth on stealth air to air combat and the role AEW&C will play in it, but there are different tactics and systems that may emerge, so making it sound like it's a given that stealth fighters will be tied down with supporting AEW&C is a bit of an overambitious statement to make imo

Strictly speaking, the fighters will be able to supercruise away from AEW&C cover. But is it wise to be away from AEW&C cover when counterstealth is proliferating like crazy?

If supercruising allows you to knock out counter stealth assets before they can hook together a response, then yes?
