China has tried to import Russian AESA radar but failed. They can design AESA radar (thanks to Ukraine and Russia as well as Isaerl) for large ships, AWACS, but the design of miniature circuit AESA radar standard GaN MMICs (in the military) China not likely. I know fanboy china will take a few examples in the civilian sector as Ka-band MMIC nitride semiconductor (or can be copied)

. But most AESA radar is located at L-band frequencies (N050) and X-band (APG-77). Another example of Chinese supercomputer but they use Intel Xeon chip, radar N050 using chip 2S + Elbrus, APG-77 radar used i960MX chip. Any names or prototype chip of AESA radar KLJ-5 (J-20) !!

China to buy 5,000 Russian air-to-air missiles

Since China's domestic air-to-air missiles such as the PL-12, the SD-10A and the PL-9C were designed based on technology from Ukraine and are still unable to compete against US counterparts, the People's Liberation Army realizes that it needs the more advanced Russian missiles to go head to head against the US and Japan in any potential future air combat, Roku wrote. He said China has already bought 1,500 R-77 missiles and 3,300 R-73 missiles from Russia.

Russia won't sell China radar system for J-20 stealth jet

Russia has rejected the idea of providing China with a radar system suitable for fifth-generation stealth fighters like the Chengdu J-20, according to Kanwa Defense Review, a Chinese-language military magazine published in Canada.

Another proof, the Chinese do not have the ability to design the semiconductor, IC best small (micro), they can copy the shape but quality very poor. The most obvious example, China has a lot of SAMs and A2A however with 5 missiles shared a homing seeker head AMR-1 include: PL-10/11/12, HQ-61C, TY-60 has shown the ability to fabricate miniature electronic components in China is very low

most of them use the older generation aircraft

PLA needs both J-11D and Su-35 fighters: Sina Military

J-11D with an anonymous AESA radar, obviously not about performance, missile PL-15 and PL-10 have not been integrated for J-11D. Also similar to radar, missiles China often exaggerate the range. China still needs Su-35S, technology of China motor is unstable, the flexibility of the line J-11 is normal, not outstanding compared with Rafale, Su-30MKI India or F-15K / J of Japan, South Korea

Wantchinatimes is not really considered a source by many people (including myself) since it usually makes outrageous claims and inaccuracies, and plus while I agree that there are still some old aircraft left such as the J-7, they are quickly being phased out in favor of J-10/11s

Indochina, you're not too new here, but you haven't posted here too much so I think it's worth going easy on you...

So I'll just say that want china times and japanese sources, as well as kanwa are generally considered very unreliable on Chinese military matters. When one is citing the other, it becomes even worse.

Many of the claims the articles you post are unsubstantiated (we have no information as to China importing that many R-77s and R-73s), illogical (the idea of China seeking to integrate Russian weapons onto indigenous fighters is entirely counterintuitive), or simply out of the left field (how do these sources know where the key components of those missiles come from?).

I feel like you're trying to build up a bit of a narrative here, but you're really using poor evidence to back yourself up.

AESA radars and missiles BVR is the technology that China often inflated. I really do not know the AESA radar for J-11D / 15/16 will be used is name ?!, its parameters ?! actual range PL-12D / 15? any source confirmed

Actually, we have very little information about the specifications of BVR missiles and radars... that is accepted. So we do not know if they are accurate, overestimated or underestimated. What little information we do have are often rough estimates -- no one accepts them as gospel.

If you're making the statement that you think they're "often inflated" then that means you've already made up your mind on the matter... so it's confusing as to why you would ask for sources, because logically you should already have reliable evidence on the matter.

Lol, looks like a little jealousy about latest reports on new J-20 prototype, missiles and engine progress is getting the better of a certain Indian forum mate. Obvious flame bait thread is obvious ;) You'll probably get off with a warning so a bit of advice for next time - try not to get overly emotional about these things.

I just throw up a little in my mouth after reading the first post of this thread. I'm pretty sure I've read this post somewhere in another forum before a while ago. For me is like eating the same fly twice........

Yeah, I was wondering why that post and this thread title was so familiar... indochina is the same guy as blackadam over on key forums.

We have separate threads for the Chinese Flankers, the J-20, the J-10, etc., etc.

We have a separate thread for breaking PLAAF and PLAN News.

We have a separate thread for ASK ANYTHING questions.

We have separate threads for the various technologies, engines, etc., etc.

WantChinaTimes is not an acceptable source on SD.

The information in this thread posted to start it is not credible.

The title of the thread is simply negative to the PRC.

For all of these reasons...

THREAD CLOSED.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THIOS MODERATION.
