It's not a proposal competition exclusively for the 6th gen fighter, but a general proposal for all future aircraft ideas, so you will also see ideas for other type of aircraft.

From what I understand, the 6th generation fighter proposal was an entry by NPU and 601 into the overall competition which basically asks participants to propose concept aircraft, which is what I wrote.

I never said the entire competition is only for 6th gen fighters....

I looked over the thread on cjdby. I think NPU's proposals in a general competition for conceptual aircraft. It's more of a fun thing for people to think about on military forum rather than taking too seriously.

just as an aside, one of the comments by moderators who either did this or know the person who did it.
"这个设计笑笑就行。。。没怎么花功夫弄得,连画图带文字一天功夫就搞完了。"
basically, the entire proposal took a day, don't take it too seriously.

Never the less they are thinking and engaging on how to best approach the next program according to needs.

eliminating the vertical stabilizer has long been under development it reduces drag and streamlines the RCS ( since Radar is rarely beamed vertically) and opens the line of sight for the pilots vision and linear turreted directed energy weapons, some of these also would apply to Pelican Tail configurations which have a combination vertical stabilizer/Horizontal stabilizer..

FULL STOP! I DON'T like canards, I DON'T like aft mounted deltas, and I DON'T even know what a Lambda wing stands for, but I LOVE THIS AIRPLANE, as Will Smith says, I GOTS to get me one of Dese! the mains do look a little too far forward for the CG??? but I do like the looks of this machine, it is pure STAR WARS!
I would like to see the side profile, but the mains look like they are at the front of the engines which are mostly aft of the mains, yes I have seen airplanes drag their tails on the ground, for real, nose wheel aircraft, not tail-draggers. LOL some of the C-206s they fly in the bush, get pretty tail heavy with a load?

Lambda wing is not a configuration I have ever heard actually used It think it's actually a created term trying to describe a variation on a Delta wing,
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
being a greek letter like delta and using a similar Character A Capital Delta being a Triangle well a Capital Lambda being a inverted V well the lower case is a inverted y the wing configuration used in the Artist representation appears to use a variation of a Cranked Arrow Delta wing

I found this gif: :D

It actually looks fine from the side, I would have likely placed the mains slightly rearward, but it would require more pitch application to actually rotate the nose into a positive angle of attack, either more control deflection??(drag), or a higher airspeed to achieve the same effect??(longer ground roll, more wear and tear on tires and gear?
