Or a production line for CQ rifles. Same manual of arms as AR.

as a sign of goodwill to Du30 i think Xi Dada should send them a crate (27000) of Norinco CQA's ASAP free of charge and offer them a production line so they can manufacture their own ''CQA's''.

Actually the Philippines has been producing various AR clones (M4 included) locally, sold locally and aboard (LE and civilian markets, even all the way to the US), but to what capacity isn't that clear though - ie. to supply that amount or whether they can complete the full process, from ingot to end-product.

If they need it urgently, China is probably the fastest one to ship to date.

Dude, the AK family has been like that since 1947, almost 70 years now and I've heard no one dizz the AK for that design feature.

Now, the dizzing about this gun found online are largely 2 things:
    1. the engraving (?) was allowed to pass with typo...somebody at QC was sleeping!
    2. those "KeyMod" ain't real KeyMod, closeup shot indicates those KeyMod ain't processed to full KeyMod standard specifications.

It's not a fatal flaw, but one that could easily have been made otherwise, considering how many rifles there are out in the world with the charging handle on the correct side.

Just because the AK has been doing it wrong this whole time doesn't mean the new Chinese rifle should be doing it wrong also. 90% of the people on this planet are right-handed, meaning that it makes sense to develop a rifle that works far more ergonomically to have the charging handle on the left side for faster reloads and faster time back on target. In fact, you would be hard-pressed to name even one modern select fire rifle that has a charging handle on the right side besides this one and the AK family. IIRC the SA80 has a right-sided charging handle; OTOH the average British soldier reviles this weapon. Every other one either has it on the left, or on the top, or is ambidextrous (as really every modern rifle should be). SCAR-16/17, Tavor/X95, ARX160, CZ805, F2000, HK33, QBZ-95, Steyr AUG, etc. etc. I could go on and on.

FYI for people not in the know this is just an artist's CGI and not official.

So is this for the PLA? I do remember seeing a similar prototype. I am really eager for the Chinese armed forces to get Clee aesthically pleasing and more modern assault rifles

The CGI posted by "Rising China" is not official and fanmade, it has nothing to do with the Chinese military's rifle project.

But there is definitely a new rifle project going on for the Chinese military, and the CS/LR17 is probably partly derived from the developments that have gone on so far. We do not know what the rifle the Chinese military will eventually adopt will look like, nor do we even know if they're going to commit to one at all.
