Is anyone able to ID this weapon? This appeared at the Chinese police expo this year.

This weapon May externally resemble the Colt Canada system but what the MMR ser up brings to the party is Cutting edge, Digital integration likely to show in the early 2020's.
What was shown at the expo was just a customized off the shelf build.
Though exact model is unknown, but the Chinese manufactorum restructuring a few years back released a few lesser factories to private holdings and they're neither under Norinco nor Poly, and it's from them that we see more "westernised" stuff.

Standardization comes in here a lot to. Alot of what makes that Model different is that the builder sourced parts from the open market and discarded the Chinese built furniture. It's Possible that this is little more than a Short barreled CS/LR2 with some Off the Shelf Aftermarket.
As long as the Receiver is built to proper Spec sizing The parts will fit. If they function is another question.

The first 2 is related, the rumored new AR in development in China, slated to take the baton from QBZ-95-1 and QBZ-03, which said to be close semblance with the SIG weapon design in pic 2. But the story quickly slammed by everyone else as fake.

Pic 3 shows some 12.7mm anti-materiel rifles donated/sold/transferred to the Lebonese army, apparerntly of those rejected design, disposed like the M99 earlier...

Well there wasn't much info that came with these pics. MwRYum was correct about the sniper rifles for Lebanon. I thought it was interesting to see a canister magazine option on a .50 sniper rifle.

Wait. are the pictures fake?

Also, why does the PLA need to replace the QBZ-95-1 and QBZ-03? They seem to be pretty good, accurate, and reliable rifles.

They likely won't, More likely they would just update them with some form of accessory system either a conventional rail or wait and do power rails later in the decade yet it would still be the same operation.

There is no real reason to change rifles right now. Until Caseless or telescopic caseless tech reaches a higher maturity level Conventional Intermediate calibre assault rifles performance has plateaued. All you can get is small tweaks in terms of mechanical performance. Scopes and Accessories add ergonomic and operator interface upgrades In Terms of how the weapon is used by easing issues human error.

The first two photos do not seem to be related. The receivers are different in shape, the magwells are quite different, and the first rifle has pic rails on all 4 sides of the handguard while the second one uses a different system to mount accessories.
