That's a disgrace. I can't believe they are willing to risk lives as opposed to expanding the road to make it wider.

Re: Chinese military photos

The Japanese Imperial military was that way, too. They ended up getting mauled by the US military. The toughest soldiers in the world are ineffective if they can't find or hit the enemy or if they are running low on food, fuel, and ammo.

Pictures like that are good for propaganda or arguments during drinking games, but make little difference when supplies are running low.

In the Korean War, US military had many more advanced weapons than China military, but US military didn't win the war.

There is no use, all it takes is a couple mm of rain fall and the road would be back to "normal", they really need helix up there, and the tough weather makes it extremely difficult. During WWII, the US lost some transporters over the Tibet territory when they shipped goods to China.

Gents, Remember when the USN EP-3 was forced to land in China? Well here are some pics of the aircrft disassembled and being moved for transport. The aircraft was loaded into a Russian Antonov An-124 Condor.

BD, I remember the news said that the condition of the EP-3 was still OK, it needed some minor repair to fly off Hainan airbase, but Chinese authority refused to allow it flying away. I wonder if that bird ever fly again after going back home?
