As disclosed by some web users, China has finalized the design and put into mass production of a new type of renaissance radar that can be carried by a single soldier to see through glass, war and ground surface to find hidden enemy troops.

Mil.huanqiu.com posts the above photos of the radar today.

According to a PLA Daily article on the radar on April 7, Prof. Zhou Zhimin of China’s National Defense Science and Technology University led his research team to master the key technology for the radar in a decade. Then his team spent another decade to finalize the design of and put into production of three types of device that use such radar for reconnaissance. The three kinds of device have now been in service in Chinese infantry.
