That's great to see. I hope they do Red vs. Blue exercises regularly. Even better if they're joint exercises. I think these ones here are only intra-service.

I remember reading that after the 2005 Sino-Russian exercises, the Russian side pointed out some problems with the Chinese side's execution of their operations. I think they specifically talked about the airborne landings as being less than perfect. Perhaps they talked about other flaws too. What specific flaws did they list? Are these criticisms valid?

I am also somewhat curious about China's military exercises. Regarding the OP, what exactly does modernized military training mean, and how does it contrast from the "primitive" (as I am led to believe from MiGleader's choice of words) military training of before?
