i heard PLA might open up military training to public for commercial purposes.
People who pay tuition and sign up for military training will have a chance to train in Chinese weaponries such as tank, plane and warships. of course , not the latest, state of art models.
They also would increase more military tourism for public.
This way Military can raise money and fund and become part of circular economy,

Despite some sense from a PR perspective doesn't that go against all the effort the PLA went through to divest itself of commercial enterprises?
If it become part and contributing to the economy then why not?
It's more sustainable.

Hmmm... I wonder where you get your news. You seem to always come up with some of the craziest rumors. Not that it is a bad thing...
I don't think this will ever happen. Never!
This rumor is particularly improbable. We know that the PLA is very sensitive about their equipment. They don't even like people taking photos of them. Now they want civilians to get training on them? That's so unlike them.
Even ignoring all the potential security issues associated with this training. In the 80's, the PLA tried to generate its own income by having its own businesses, almost all of them civilian businesses. That turned out to be a huge distraction, as many units focused on making money instead of their primary job of defending their country. And it seems that they have learned their lesson, as all non-defense business activities within the PLA had been stopped. The only business that can be still related to the PLA is weapons exports.
Even if they ignore the security issues and potential distractions of running businesses, I'm not sure if this is a sound business proposal even from a pure business point of view. They have to dedicate personnel, space and equipment for this. That's a lot of investment. We have no idea how many civilians would actually want to do this. Military junky has always been a novelty instead of a popular thing. You see singing, dancing shows on tv. How many military shows do you see? Even in the US, there used to be a show called "Top Shot" on History channel, which I loved. That only lasted a couple years. It means military stuff is not popular among general population. Even from a pure business's point, this does not sound like good idea.
now, how about this question. If Liaoning is open for public tour around the coast of country or even oversea. who want buy a ticket to visit?
I mean, there will tons of people flocking to get the tickets and visit Liaoning. They can generate alot of revenue from such ventures.

I find your way of thinking fascinating...
You are looking at this like a game. This is the military. Everything it does means life and death. The more time you spend on making money means less time spent on training. Lack of training means more casualties and loss of battles and wars. It means signing boat load of unequal treaties, losing trillions of $$$, becoming a colony again. How many tickets will you have to sell to cover that?

I don't know about the Liaoning but I remember back in the '80s or '90s hearing that the PLA ran what were essentially gun ranges where regular civilians could pay to fire anything from small arms to RPGs and AAA. Something like that I can see happening again as part of a PR or recruitment campaign, same with running a skydiving or off roading or wilderness survival operation. Nothing that risks giving away information on frontline equipment or advanced tactics though.
