Pretty big news for the PLA. This is their first official international deployment in an official UN Peacekeeping operation.

    700 troops altogether.

Although unlikely, the troops might soon be uploading helmet-camera videos of gunfights and raids.

Those people are not as tech savvy as the American counterparts. We have never seen any of those videos leaked from the PLA, unless it's CCTV camera footages from nearby, but never headmounted cams.
PLA also has a much stricter policy for leaks. Even if those things are purchased by the average young soldiers, they wouldn't be allowed to be used by their commanders, let alone uploaded onto the internet.

Is that helmet-camera on the top right side of their helmet (just above the goggle strap)?
Or is that just a torch light?

According to this news, it is a tactical torch light.

    Really?

I do not think those are helmet mounted cameras. More likely, in those numbers, they are helmet mounted lights.

    The latter.

See my response to Sino Soldier, and then ladioussupp's response.

    They are helmet mounted lights.
