PLA army division battle order

wtf! They have Red Star's on their helmets! Wouldn't that make it easier for snipers to get them? Having that nice little target? Like I have total respect for the Red Army (Pre-1945)/(post-1945)People's Liberation Army, but I thought that the Star's were removed recently out of concern for Soldier's safety.

no off course they dont. in the 40s-70s, they had nice, red stars on soldiers helmets and officers, caps(i have one!), but not anymore. if they wear red, it must be some kind of excercise distinguishment

Actually Migleader, Chinese soilders do have stars on both their battle hements and caps, training or not. All hats have the emblem of the peoples Liberation Army which is a red star with the Chinese characters 8,1 in the middle of the red star, which symbol august 1rst, the founding of the PLA. all stars are red with 8/1 in it. the Only deference is the the force the hat is worn in. the army has the star with leaves around it, the airforce has the star with wings, and the navy has an ancor behind the star.


　　

wow...thoses stars must be pretty damn small. thats good, so no one will see it in battle. i never noticed it until now. can u show me a picture?

Im sorry MigLeader. I do not know how to post pictures on the forum but I do know a sight where you can see the emblums.
here it is:
there are two kinds, one for the cap where officers wear and the kind that soilders wear. regardless, the basic concept is the same, you see it on every Chinese soilder, every APC,fighter, bomber, tank, missile system etc. Check out the pictures of the Chinese military vehicles, you can tell they all have the red star with the characters 8/1 in the middle (even though you might not be able to read chinese, it is there) during the time when the comunist party took power in china, all soilders and Mao ze dong himself wore a green cap with a red star, which was later changed to the present day PLA star.oh and if you dont mind, tell me how to post pictures.
