Navy

Why 6 KJ-200 ??? IMO there are only five and this one is not a new built but a refurbished one.

There are 4 more that is at finishing stages at factory if you go back few pages. I would be surprise if they are not deliver by now. so they did ramp up the production But don't forget they also have other priority like ramping up production of KQ200 which we see in the same photo. Here is the tally
12 aircraft using Y-8/9 , at least 4 being KJ 500 early warning, 6 GX 6 antisubmarine..

Numbers are too few, compare to China's air space.
21 AWACS is sufficient Fleet don't need monitoring up to Kazakhstan !
The KJ-200 remains less capable with this weakness for radar have pointed Totoro but i have 240° ? 60° in less front and rear and the range is clearly less good than the 2 others and operates at a lower altitude than the KJ-2000.

As the level of your network warfare system capabilities gets more sophisticated I'd venture that you're going to need more AWACS and other EW assets as a proportion of your fleet to manage all the proxy sensing, cuing, and targeting. Furthermore, factors like endurance and redundancy need to be factored in. We should not be expecting the end of growth in China's AWACS fleet, I imagine.
