Interesting what they meant by embedded? Embedded the T/R module inside the plane structure ? So no more those ugly disk or balance beam. It would be perfect for AC based AWAC. small and compact. From Henri K blog

From what it could be the Chinese embedded AWACS, currently under development at the Xi'an Institute of the AVIC Group.

Your claim here does not match up to the US military's claim. While UHF-band can never be high enough for terminal illumination (and neither can S-band), they both can certainly be high enough to direct missile engagements all the way up until the end game. And yet some other UHF-band radars cannot do this (e.g. Yagi antennas). This clearly indicates that radar target discrimination is not purely a matter of frequency.

Yes.

If you look at the actual mechanics of AESA radar tracking, it's many separate weak signals from the individual TR modules.

So it is a lot of the signal processing and big data analysis.

The big data analysis is the most interesting area, because in the past 2 years there have been so many advances in the field.

30271 ... both the 2 and 1 look re- or over-painted and if I'm not wrong they had formerly serials in the 3047x-range !
