This is a story, a journey that has always been close to my heart. This is the legacy of my father, of anyone who has lost someone close to them.

My journey to Northern Pakistan has completely changed me as a woman. The notion that Pakistan is unsafe was conquered by traveling. And I am happy to have defeated these negative norms regarding Pakistan.
As a 21-year-old, I am lucky to have been granted this opportunity to air my story to all the women of the world. Whether it's in Pakistan or any other country. Not many women get the chance to actually accomplish their dreams at such a young age. Verily, God is the Greatest and He will always show you the ray of light at the end of the tunnel of darkness.

Battlefield nukes are a bad idea. It lowers the threshold for full blown nuclear war.

War itself is a bad idea.

As has been mentioned that very few countries have developed such a capability, the question arises as to why Pakistan has developed it?

The answer is SURVIVAL. This Weapon system has been developed to hedge against the COLD START DOCTRINE of Indian military.

Pakistan has to do whatever it takes to create a deterrence for its survival against a much larger foe i.e. India.

IDEF 2017: ASELSAN WILL SHOWCASE NEW AHS-120 MORTAR-FIRING SYSTEM

At the forthcoming International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) in Istanbul, Turkish defence electronics giant Aselsan will showcase its newly developed 120 mm mortar launching system, the AHS-120.

), the AHS-120 is compatible with any mortar shell. It can function a turret for self-propelled mortar carriers and as a stand-alone fixed installation.

The principal aim of the AHS-120 is to transform the process of firing mortar shells into an automated procedure, one resulting in increased efficiency, safety and effectiveness.

To achieve these goals, Aselsan incorporated the AHS-120 with an automatic ammunition loading system, a fire control system, and barrel guidance system. When applied as a self-propelled system, the AHS-120’s carrying platform is equipped with an inertial navigation system and battlefield management system.

The system enables AHS-120-based mortar carrier crew to monitor the area to identify routes and confirm friendlies as well as (potentially) receive target information from forward observers. With these systems, the AHS-120 enables its users to effectively function in a network-enabled environment.

Using Aselsan’s own backlash mechanism, the AHS-120 was developed to be compatible (as a turret) with a large variety of vehicles, providing countries in need of a self-propelled mortar system a modular system.

Notes & Comments:

The AHS-120 appears to carry over the additions – such as automated shell loading and digital fire-control systems (FCS) – provided to artillery systems. It appears that location information from forward observers can be paired to the AHS-120’s FCS, enabling for quicker and more accurate mortar fire as well as swifter reactivity to potential counterfire. The Turkish industry has not disclosed plans for guided mortar shells, though the AHS-120 does set the basis for one thanks to its FCS.

With the AHS-120, Aselsan has a burgeoning land operations portfolio, one comprising of very short-range anti-air warfare systems, remote weapon stations, secure communications systems and weapon-locating radars. These have interoperable value. For example, the Aselsan counter-mortar radar provides weapon-locating capabilities – this information can flow via Aselsan’s secure radio communications systems to inform AHS-120 and other units, enabling them to react appropriately.

Being a modular and platform-agnostic solution, the AHS-120 provides the Pakistan Army with the option implement its mortar carrier program using multiple vehicle types, so as to have solutions tailored for different terrains and environments.

Eagle-Eye P-I & P-II Tactical UAVs of ACES: Pakistani UAV Industry Weapons & Wars Of Pakistan | Pakistani Weapons:

Advanced Computing and Engineering Solutions (ACES) displayed both Eagle-Eye-PI & Eagle-Eye-PII UAVs along with their ground Control Station (GCS) at the International Defence Exhibition & Seminar IDEAS-2006 in Karachi, Pakistan.

Eagle-Eye-P1 UAV has maximum speed of speed 120km/h with enhance able endurance 3 hours and it can to provide real-time video feedback to the operators from a distance of 80 km.
Eagle-Eye-P1 UAV can carry a 10kg payload for real time digital video surveillance. Eagle Eye-P1 has wingspan of 5 meters and its maximum take-off weight is 130kg MTOW. It flew for the first time in 2002.
Jane's Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and TargetsEagle Eye-PII has a larger wingspan of 5.7 meters and its maximum take-off weight has been increased to 175kg. It flew for the first time in 2005. ACES's Eagle Eye-P2 UAV has maximum speed of speed 150km/h with endurance 4 hours and it can to provide real-time video feedback to the operators from a distance of 100 km. Eagle-Eye-PII UAV is capable of carrying a 20kg payload.

Both Eagle Eye-PI and Eagle Eye-PII are designed to use runway like conventional manned aircrafts for takeoffs and landings.

Advanced Computing and Engineering Solutions (ACES) competed in the Pakistan Army’s competition for the Uqaab Tactical UAV system and offered Eagle Eye-PI and larger Eagle-Eye P-II UAV systems.
