Russian Su-57 Aircraft Thread (PAK-FA and IAF FGFA)

Oh that's good, I thought it might be past your bedtime, or that MRS. JURA had made you sleep on the couch, that's bad, but when you've been married as long as I have, when the HONEY BADGER gets up and goes to the couch herself, she is mad, and if she doesn't get her beauty sleep, she will be "LIVID". and I might add??? "very, very, dangerous!

this deserves a Like
LOL

even if it was PhotoShopped (I'm not saying it was, or it was not, noticed just two like brighter spots on the "upper" airplane which "lower" doesn't have LOL), looks great:

very nice Bub, I have a model of the T-50 and the J-20 on top of my bedroom dressor, front and center. They are die-cast, lots of plastic, but help me make my "impromptu" aerodynamic observations. It is amazing what models do tell you just by looking??

all that "Flanker Sweetness" seems to have survived and been enhanced on this bird, she does have so many "pretty angles", she is gorgeous.

so the rebuilt 055 made a first flight, but the scheduled follow-on flight was cancelled after finding some issues on the first flight?? (not criticism here kids, just the way it goes when you rebuild one from scratch, as predictable as squeezing oranges and getting juice?) Any aircraft in for any major maintenance is a very likely candidate for lots of headscratching and why won't this molecular nebulizer sync up with the new rotary-discombobulator.

These aircraft are electrical sensors/actuators and etc from front to back and side to side, the actual airframe rebuild in contrast is simple?? unplug, and unbolt this from this fuselage and bolt it to the new one, gusseting or replacing panels as necessary to restore integrity.

I would say Aksha that that picture by the Russian poster may very well be 055R, it would be about the right time, and no markings as of yet.
Also noting the large forward access panel under the pilot is a different shade, that would likely just have been taken from 055 and bolted onto the 055R after it was all finished, but its easy to see the rest of that forward fuse section appears very cohesive in it appearance.
