Hello community,

the name is Jan, I'm Belgian, am 36, an ex-military (infantry) and now part-time employee.

since my childhood, I've been fascinated by warplanes and warships, by their operational history and the stories around them. I have no particular expertise, I just quite enjoy researching all sorts of details and collecting docs.

Up to very recently my main interests in China were for foods and girls but by discussing with a bunch of knowledgeable people about today's geopolitics and military hardware, I've developed a firm curiosity for Chinese made aircraft and ships, thus my presence here to get to know them more by reading you.

Best wishes and take care you all.

Welcome to SDF FD, glad to have you aboard and your experience in the Belgian military will provide you with a perspective that will help you get up to speed rapidly, we enjoy a surprisingly warm camaraderie here and look forward to including you in our circle of brothers. As you might guess, lots of quite diverse perspectives, and yet a lot of mutual respect and friendship. Brat

Welcome aboard, Jan!

We look forward to your posts and sharing your experiences.

Please make sure to read our forum rules. They are posted as sticky threads in each forum.

The technical data, specifications, capabilities and various pictures, videos, load outs, layouts, etc. of the equipment is the principle focus here...bot Chinese and world-wide. We are probably one of the best places on the web for that type of thing.

Be careful with the geo-political. We discourage it because with such a diverse group, it almost invariably leads to misunderstanding, argument, emotion, anger...and then moderation with warnings and suspensions.

Anyhow, again, welcome aboard!

I will. Here seems to be a nice forum. So thanks for advices. About army.....if i were you i would invest a lot in electronics. Exacly in jammers. Because every missile (AGTM, cruise ones etc ) are based to a link whit enemy commanders. Ofcourse there is inertial guidance but i understanded that are not that accurate cause cant predict minor changes of wind.
