It take me about 6 minutes to understand that with help of dictionary. but maybe in 2006 we can finally see J-10 fly?

China does not put entire new aircraft in airshows outside of the country. And in the last few years or so, they have also stopped displaying real aircraft in internal airshows and defense expos either. The closest thing you might ever see a chance for them to actually be in a public display would be the military parade on National Flag Day in October.

The best way to get an idea of the plane's performance might be to make a computer simulation based on known and estimated data.

Here is one alleged exercise involving Su-27SKs and J-10s.

Most likely just a wild rumour spread spread by some su-27 supporter on warsky. China would not let the actual results of the encounter into public. They showed a place that this was first posted in 2002. Now, people are trying to make this sound like the new 2004 encounter.

When is the Zhuhai Airshow? Glad to see they will make a display of it. Will it fly a demonstration? And if so, does the article hint that we'll see a demonstration reflective of it's full flight envelope? It will be good to get a better look at this tactical aircraft.

I will try to translate it when I have time, which probably will be sometime this week.

more of it, I will just translate this part first

Do You have something more for us of this article ????

Just a question on that article ... I tried to "translate" and understand it via "babelfish" (not an easy task :coffee: :( ) and in the second part You posted there are some information regarding the early studies to the J-10: As I understand one attempt by SAC to "build" the F-16 ... or is this related to the J-13 ?? ... and a second attempt by CAC following the studies for the J-9 to developm the J-10 !!!

Can You help me a little bit with translating this part .... PLEASE !!!!

Thanks in advance, Deino

Re: J-10 database: prototypes, pre-serial & serial machines ...

yeah, it looks like I'm going to be too lazy to translate that article. It basically talked about the requirements of some of the older Chinese fighter projects and the kind of different designs they tried. You can see from the specs what those planes were asked to do. Generally, it's been said that a lot of what is done on J-10 were usng experiences from J-9. Including the canards, which was said to first have been studied on J-9. As a result of this, I would think that J-10 can go faster than the often-listed mach2.0. I would guess mach2.2 to mach2.4 is quite possible.

As for the Zhuhai airshow, it took place in early November in 2004, so it should be around the same time this year.

Thanks for at least giving us the idea of what was in there. Looking forward to seeing the J-10 in a flight demo. I hope that's what they were talking about.
