Its a little sad to hear Miss Piggy and Kermit of the.Muppet break up.
perhaps after all the.time together she decided.he.was still too green for her.

As a young kid I never liked her character because I thought she was too much of a bully. thosescenes where Kermit got hitd by Miss Piggy would not be acceptable in today's PC. World

You know the little song they played towards the end of the show which went something like this
Bi Di bidi bidi bidi Mai non Mai non Ti Ti.bidi bidi.bidi Mai non Mai non is actually
à French song used in a Scandinavian porn movie.
The lyrics are about fantasising about having it off with.a.older woman

J'dois fr? Quenter que les filled de cinqante ans
(I have to go out with women older than fifty)
The song is sung by Henri Salvador

I wish we could see some of the latest Chinese summer box offices here in the US. We know that's not going to happen anytime soon.:(

I think most comedies, dramas, and slice-of-life type movies lose a lot in translation regardless of whether the audience realizes it or not. This applies many times over for stories heavy on or centered around cultural or historical heritage and icons. The Chinese movies mentioned in the article which did very well in China are all of the above. In addition they are family movies which need to be even more in sync with societal sensitivities than any other genre. All these factors favor domestic movies in every market unless the domestic movie industry is significantly out of touch with their own society. As mentioned in the article this also happened during the foreign movies blackout period in China.
The day when the Chinese movie industry truly proves its mettle is when it can be successful financially internationally with movies in these genres which are minimally altered from their domestic and presumably original version.

That's just translation issue. China doesn't have a problem with translating the most up to date Hollywood films to be shown in China, but the same can be say about the other way around. Any audience would watch a good film regardless of what languages it is in.

Action movies always translate, comedy and romance are cultural. Historic drama also have issues as not everyone sees the same villain in the same people.
Lately though alot of the Hollywood movies have been altered for release in different countries. From small things like the hockey game in inside out becoming a soccer game in some foreign releases, Iron man 3 featuring a altered Man Dorin and emphasized Dr. Wu again for China or the Captain America list which changes based on release country.

So what about all those Donny Yen action films? I'm sure the American audience still loves a good kung fu action films without having to wait for it to come out on DVD.
