I rented "American Sniper" several days ago and I enjoyed it a lot. It focus a lot about how the character Kris Kyle goes through at home and abroad when he gets deployed multiple times can put a major toll on one's family psyche and emotions. He is definitely a hero in my book.

Saw this on Netflix this weekend though it came out last year. It was an enjoyable journey learning about the dish and the Chinese-American experience.

Maybe not many people will like these two movies because most people are adults here in the forum, but I wanted to watch them really bad. *lol*

The animation actually looks really good.

Mixing CGI and live action in a non-techy/flashy manner is one of the toughest artistic styles to pull off. I don't think these films are doing a job that is better than what's out there already but it's admirable that they are aiming high technically and for good enough reason this day and age. I am partial to the old school real life FX though which I understand still comes off as the most convincing not just to me but to most audiences.

Same here! The story is creative. It looks like a comedy and it looks pretty hilarious.

Exactly, who says Chinese film and animation can't innovate? I know Hollywood and Pixar will do an American version of this someday.

There's a TV show on AMC in the US coming called Badlands. It's based on the Monkey King.
