Just came back from Terminator Genisys. Emilia Clarke doesn't make a convincing Sarah Connor. It might be because she has a baby face and looks too young. The same with Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese for different reasons. Byung-hun Lee did a good job being the T-1000. I posted earlier about an explanation of how old Arnold meets up with new Arnold in the original Terminator movie. They don't explain why that happens because it was intentionally omitted from the Terminator's directives because I guess they want that to be a big surprise in a sequel if it ever gets a sequel. Someone secretly sent back a Terminator to protect Sarah Connor. Also someone sent back a T-1000 to kill Kyle Reese as he arrived back to 1984. Two different parties? One in the same? It's getting bad reviews and not a lot of people watched the movie at the theater I was at for preview night. Maybe because it was a Tuesday night not opening at the regular time? It was entertaining for just an action movie but it didn't stand out. I liked the special effects. I liked how they dealt with the T-1000. There was discussion if this was a reboot. Yes, literally in the story because key plot points that happened in the first two movies didn't happen here. So what you knew before doesn't exist anymore. It's completely open now. Is it bad like JJ Abrams Star Trek reboot bad? It remains to be seen. I read before I watched the movie that the producers are planning a new TV series based on this Terminator world. Well like I said, that might depend on if this movie fails at the box office or not.

Action star Donnie Yen clinches Jedi role in Episode VIII of Stars Wars

[Action star Donnie Yen clinches Jedi role in Episode VIII of Stars Wars

HONG KONG - Hong Kong action star Donnie Yen is to star in Episode VIII of the Stars Wars franchise, said a report.

According to Apple Daily, Yen is expected to be in London early next month to start film work.

He will play a Chinese Jedi who meets iconic character Han Solo and becomes his ally, said Apple.

The newspaper did not cite any sources or official confirmation for its story today, and named Harrison Ford as returning to play Han Solo.

It said Yen won the role over eight other actors including Jet Li, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Wang Leehom, Chang Chen, Daniel Wu and Stephen Chow.

He and Li were favoured because of their fighting skills and proficiency in English, but Disney eventually gave the role to Yen, who commands US$4 million (S$5.4 million) per movie, and not Li whose fee is US$10 million.

Apple said Yen, 51, was confirmed for the role about a month ago but is under an agreement not to leak the news.

Disney announced in March that Episode VIII would come out on May 26, 2017, to be written and directed by Rian Johnson (Loope, 2012).

J. J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens opens in the United States on Dec 18.

The cast list of Episode VIII on movie website IMDb features only Oscar Isaac.

The actor plays Poe Dameron in Episode VII and he revealed in March that he will appear in Episode VIII as well, according to IMDb.]

If they really going to make Top Gun 2 with the plot center around Tom Cruise's Maverick with the subject manned versus drone aircraft. Who will you think the enemy is going to be this time? I don't think it's going to be China as they probably want to make money off the huge Chinese market. Maybe Iran or ISIS? :D

Well here are the 3 popular Hollywood choices of a today's "bad guy":

1. Russsia (for now until they gave up Crimea and the Ukraine)
2. North Korea (but disguise quietly as China as to not to upset their creditor and banker)
3. Terrorists (Muslims in particular)
