You guys are going to love this! :D
(Especially you TerrainEmpire)

I was trawling the internet as usual and came across this (actually I was looking for J-11D on youtube and found this on the suggestion):

WOLF WARRIOR (2015)

Synopsis:
"A Chinese special force soldier with extraordinary marksmanship is confronted by a group of deadly foreign mercenaries who are hired to assassinate him by a vicious drug lord."

With laughably bad plot, chaotic direciton, featuring lots of modern chinese weapons, lots of explosions, more martial art fights than you can throw a stick at, extremely jingonistic, it just can't get better than this! :D It is like 1980s all over again, except the bad guys are americans (and some chinese).

It even featured full scale model of WZ-10 (at least I think that's a model... or it could be the real thing that PLA was collaborating with film producer..)

Supposedly this is one of the highest grossing film in China this year - it has made $78 million so far.

This looks awesome. I need to go look it up on LeTV!

Don't waste your time. I watched it over weekend, for 5 minutes. that's how long it took me to realize how bad it is. It is BAD. and I mean it in the worst possible way.

Trailer looks ok though at least decent production value for a Chinese war movie. Where can I watch it?

Don't! Episode 1, the main character in the show, a sniper, shot a concrete beam 3 times to get to a bad guy hiding behind the beam while holding a hostage. While he's calmly and, might I add, slowly drilling a hole into the concrete beam with his bullets to get to the bad guy, the bad guy just stands there and keeps yelling about shooting the hostage. The sniper comes out like he has done something heroic... When you try to wash your eyes with bleach after watching it, I'm going to say "I told you so" so loud...:D:p:cool:

I took three of my grandsons to see Avengers; Ultron on Saturday.

We loved it (ages of the grandsons was 14, 12, and 9).

I would recommend it, despite some of the negative reviews from the industry. Quite frankly, I generally fins that there are numerous movies that I really end up liking that the professional reviewers sometimes diss.

Later this month, I am having the same three grandsons over for a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday movie marathon. Their mom and dad are going out of town to celebrate their 15th anniversary, and we will be watching the boys. I am taking that Thursday and Friday off.

My wife will keep us in food, and we intend to watch marathons of all six Hobbit and Lord of the rings Films...and all six of the Star Wars films.

The six Tolkien films are right at 17 hours. The six Star War films are about 15 hours. Hehehe...that's 32 hours in three days. We will cap it off on Saturday with the two new Star Trek movies.

LOL! 12 hours per day of very good movie watching!

Just came back from Mad Max Fury Road. George Miller hasn't lost it. It was literally a ride from beginning to end. This is similar to Road Warrior with nitro added. It was a crazy apocalyptic Cirque Du Soleil. Tom Hardy didn't have many lines and when he did speak, it sounded very much like he was channeling Bane. The only negative from a movie that was basically pure action was there was not much of a story. The places and people they encountered while on this ride... not a lot of development around them. There's story there but they didn't explore that much.
