On the Independence class the space between the gun and missile rack is reserved for hellfire launchers as jura and several of us through the years have waid the lack of VLS on LCS is appalling

From those drawings I would say at least a 8 cell Mk41 probably not the full length strike version though but it wouldn't need it to use ESSM type missiles and then and only then it may be called a half way legitimate warship

Its my understanding and indeed Jura among others have posted various versions of the Independence class and almost if not all of them have a mk41 located further aft close to the SeaRam location and also in the FFGX proposal Independence class have them actually aft of the hanger

thanks for sharing that bunk like
"Plan to conduct MCM MP developmental/operational testing in FY21 and achieve IOC in FY22" (slide #6) now,
while inside the USNI News four+ years ago May 16, 2015
... Program Executive Officer for LCS Rear Adm. Brian Antonio ...
Overall, though, he was optimistic about achieving IOC by the end of September.

“We’ve proven that the systems work,” he said.
“Will we have issues every now and then? Yes we will. Some of these systems have been in development a long time, it’s time to bring them together and do the end-to-end run and prove them out.”

    the USN kidding itself really

EDIT by the way Friday at 8:14 AM
