Under "Variants" section, the Type 69-II's description reads:

The formal production variant introduced in 1982. This variant is fitted with a 100mm rifled gun and a primitive fire-control system. It is also fitted with a new Type 889 radio and rubber track skirt. Later variants were fitted with a storage rack on the turret to provide extra protection against HEAT projectiles as well as smoke grenade launchers

Then under "Armament" section, it says:
The Type 69-II is fitted with a Type 69-II 105mm rifled gun, with a simplified fire-control/night observation equipment.

Globalsecurity's page reads:

The Type 69 MBT was first produced with both smoothbore (Type 69-I) and rifled (Type 69-II) guns. After extensive testing, the rifled gun proved to be more accurate and had greater armor penetration characteristics. Smoothbore production was discontinued after only 150 such equipped Type 69s were built.
<snip>
A second version of the Type 69, or the Type 69-II, was developed in 1983 at the No. 617 Factory. The newly improved tank included a simple fire control system, laser rangefinder, rubber shielding skirt, turret grid shield, and a hydraulic booster system for improved steering. The Type 69-II also included a double-pin rubber track plate, protection from NBC weapons, and a 100mm rifled gun capable of firing APDS and HEAT rounds.

==============

I think the "105mm rifled gun" description under "Arament" section is prolly wrong and should be replaced with "100mm rifled gun".

yes, it was a typo. It should be 100mm rifled gun. Type 79 is the one with 105mm gun

SH-5 Amphibious Aircraft Page

The ShuiHong-5 is the amphibious bomber developed by Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (HAMC) in the 1980s for the PLA Naval Air Force (PLANAF) for maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), and surveillance roles. Only four examples of the aircraft have been delivered due to its obsolete design and the shift of PLAN strategy. The PLAN may be planning to replace these planes with more capable Russian Beriev Be-200 amphibious jet.

Here's some news from May regarding the possible BE-200 purchase:

Russia, China to ink deal on amphibious aircraft

Moscow: Russia is to supply state-of-the-art amphibious anti-submarine aircraft to China in a multi-million dollar deal to be shortly inked by the two countries, a media report said here.

Russia's main arms exporting agency Rosobornexport is to sign a USD 600 million deal with China later this year for the supply of amphibious Beriyev Be-200 aircraft equipped with 'Sea Dragon' suite capable of pinpointing and targetting enemy submarines with high precision, 'Kommersant' daily reported.

The Beryev Be-200 aircraft, built by IRKUT Corporation, can land and take off from the surface of the sea.

The IRKUT Corporation has been building a limited number of the fire-fighting version of the aircraft for the Emergency Situations Ministry at its Irkutsk plant in Siberia.

However, following the deal with China, the corporation is planning to move the assembly of these aircraft to its Taganorg plant in the south Russian region of Rostov-on-Don, the report said.

The modernized Il-38s will use the Novella system, which is also known as Sea Dragon.
<snip>
Novella is an all-digital integrated electronic reconnaissance system. It has a synthetic aperture radar that can detect ships out to 150 kilometers away, forward-looking infra-red and a low-light TV camera for location and identification of targets at night without using radar (which can be detected). The Novella upgrade also includes an electronic support measures suite to detect radars (which can identify a ship or aircraft), and a new magnetic anomaly detector (MAD), which will help it locate a submarine close to the surface. Novella also uses the Russian GLONASS system, which is comparable to the American GPS.

So this is not really a SH-5 update thread, is it ;-)

HQ-9 / FT-2000 discussion

On the HQ-9 page:

The HQ-9 is reported to have a slant range of 200km up to an altitude of 30km. The missile has a proximity fuse with an effective range of 35m, which goes active when the missile is 5km away from its target. The missile is transported and launched on Taian TAS5380 8X8 transport-erector-launcher (TEL), which has four canisters that look almost identical to those used in the S-300PMU1. Like the S-300, the FT-2000 is cold-launched.

I think that should be 35 km and 35 meters?

You do not have a fuse with an effective range of 35km. Only 35m is close enough to detonate the warhead

A substantial redesign of the Shaanxi Y-8 (Chinese copy of the An-12 Cud),

I think the An-21 should be An-12, and "Cud" should be "Club". :)
