It's being reported that PAF Masroor is being equipped with C802 and CM-400

A very good development, expect to see more of this

For hitting warships C802 is good but for high value targets like carriers and LHA/LHD a CM-400AKG would be the missiles used

Just popped up in my mind and I'm really not firm with PAF capabilities here. How would targeting for those AShM work. Primarily via the launching JF-17 platforms? Do they have the capability to fully utilize the ranges, or are there off board sensor, target relying capabilities?

no new info has been released. they are keeping their lips tight on this deal for some reason.

Well to be fair I think PAF and PLAAF more qualified to decide what the missile is used for

If they are calling it a carrier killer or carrier capable then so be it

I guess that's a case by case thing. If there is really oppurtunity of destroying a carrier then why not going all out for it?

But going for the escort ship appears to be the more effective way of rendering a carrier strike group useless because no sane country would operate a carrier without a functional defence.
