Here is a long breathed deck announce by MITI last year concerning the road map in transition to a hydrogen society.

Basically compact fuel cells for homes has been on the market for the last 7 years with prices going down to 1.45 million yen per unit and predicts that it will reach around 50% penetration rate by around 2030.
Large scale co-generation fuel cells for business complex with output between 5~250K watts is already under test in actual buildings and will be placed on the market in 2017.
We already know about Toyota Mirai which was placed on market last year and Honda CLARITY FUEL CELL on the market this year. Nissan will announce their own fuel cell powered car in 2017.
There are already around 100 Hydrogen station in Japan with another 100 station planned to be opened by 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Hydrogen society is not about the future it's about implementing it now so it becomes the future and Japan is the fore runner in this field.

Yes, it would not be difficult for Japan to develop nukes, except it doesn't want to... just like it would not be difficult for me to win an Olympic gold medal except I don't want to LOL. Those are about equally believable; you either did it or you didn't do it. You simply don't say something is easy, except I haven't done it before; it doesn't make sense.

I don't know if you appreciate how amusing it is when you try to sound tough and say things like "...not submit to intimidation by another nation..." as you currently have another nation's boot on your face. If there were foreign soldiers on my national soil pushing around the locals, raping/murdering local girls, I would be far too ashamed to mention military capabilities.

Come on man, there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed, for the sake of good taste.

we all know Israel has a policy: if any arabic country wants to develop nukes, israel will take pre-emptive action to take it out; given jps long criminal record against China, China certainly has the right to strike any facility it deems suspicious,China should make this a policy, and make it public.

Yes, I agree. Those lines include, putting a 70-year prediction on technology.
Kid, the LHA concept or aircraft carriers as the main offensive weapon is still valid in today's world. More than 70 years after Japanese invented it...

Too bad there's no 'report' function for people talking about a nation being on somebody's 'leash'...

Talk about low level fantasy...

A peace time example would be HSR, a Granddad example of "galapagosization" situation.
Shinkansen was conceptualized before WW2 and became a reality in 1964. The next example didn't come to reality till 1981, 17 years later by the French when they inaugurated the TGV and the rest of the world didn't adopt the concept until the turn of this century.
When Japan was developing the Shinkansen most of the western nations were laughing about the system saying the future is in air travel.

There's no point arguing with him... He knows everything better while I haven't seen anything from him that's revelant.

@Bltizo

I stand by my statement.

I expect the first operational J-20 squadron to be deployed to either Beijing or Wuxi. Note that Wuxi covers Shanghai, Japan, Korea and the East China Sea.

Given a modest production rampup, I wouldn't be surprised if 2 squadrons will have been delivered and IOC declared towards the end of next year.
don't think so, it is one thing to have planes delivered to form an operational squadron but another to obtain IOC.
