Whether natural occurring structure or meta-material structure it all has a natural resonating frequency. With out some kind of outside source of energy you can't change frequency of a wave which you are suggesting.

Uhhh... not sure if you’ve heard of the Doppler effect... The frequency of a wave actually depends on the velocities of the emitter and the observer. No need to input any additional energy. Of course, if you want to nitpick about it, motion is kinetic energy... but I’m sure that’s not the kind of energy you had in mind when you made the above statement...

What are absorption and emission lines but matter absorbing EM radiation in one frequency and emitting them in another?

Now perhaps what SamuraiBlue is trying to say is that you can’t change the resonant frequency of a material at will without some kind on input, but that sounds like a misreading of what Taxiya was saying, and also besides the point. For a material to be a good absorber of any range of frequency bands its resonant frequency doesn’t have to be modifiable at will. It just needs to avoid strong resonance in the range of bands the material is meant to attenuate (which, of course, is definitional to the material being a good absorber of those bands).

It really doesn't matter what features j20 has. Now it's all about numbers and numbers.

Without the numbers, it's only a bit player.

I ain't saying they already have the numbers. But how do you know they really don't. All we can "verify", are just photos, implicitly approved by the PLA, i.e. we mostly see, what they let us see.

Like them said, paper cannot cover /hide a fire.
If they got them numbers, it would spill all /leak over the news some way and somehow.

If they got them numbers, they would setup multiple division in critical areas.

The information environment around PLA leaks changed when Xi came into office. Now we don’t even know how many J-10B/C have been produced, because we don’t get enough pictures of them to track serial numbers. That said, even if they’re slow walking J-20 production that might not mean much of anything. The transition from LRIP to full production always takes a bit of time. You don’t magically expand your production lines, secure your supply of parts at volume, and train your workers all with the snap of a finger.

Hey, I have an idea: why don't you go and have your own conversation with your imaginary friend about metamaterials, since it should now be obvious to everybody, even yourself, that what you are talking about has literally nothing to do with what plawolf and I were talking about when you decided to insert yourself into the conversation.

Dude, have some decency and show some respect to fellow forum members. Stop being an ass
