They weren't mentioned by name in the video report. The relevant segment begins at 11:51.
People who say China copied Mig 1.44 is dumb.
Look at Mig 1.44, it's intake manifolds look like a gigantic square vacuum cleaner. I'm sure the edges where they merge and meet will deflect radar waves like crazy.
They are just salty that China has emerged as a world leader in aviation technology, exceeding that of Soviet/Russian aviation technology.

And even more your comparison is way off since there are confirmed connections. That does not mean the J-10 is a Lavi-clone or a development, but we know, even Song Wencong was at least once very close to a real Lavi.

From Yang Wei's (JF-17, J-20 chief designer) testimony, the Israelis taught Yang and his team how to develop digital FBW systems. Because of Israeli mentoring, the development of the J-10's complex FBW system was relatively smooth.

There was indeed collaboration and assistance between China and Israel, especially in FBW. But the scope and depth of that exhange is in a totally different league compared to the routine and systematic exchanges and collaboration that goes on as a matter of course between the various Western nations.
But let’s just leave this topic here, as this has been rehashed endless times already.
