It does seem to me the different shapes are more than just visual effect due to angle and lighting.
Btw, no one commented on the 2102 (the last picture) in mirror image?
It's IMO simply a PS-fake ...

Amen, Deino.

I think some fan boys keep wanting to pass of a 2102 and are using 2101 pictures to do so.

Anyhow, when the real thing comes out...it will not be onesie twosie pics and it will be ones that are not exactly the same as other 2101 pictures.

Any idea, when 2101 will get its paint !?

as it is the first LRIP bird, it will undergo a much more thorough flight test, as you know AF-01 and AF-02 have received a work-out, spin testing, high alpha testing, weapons carrying and release, etc. 2101 may well be "that bird", the follow on aircraft are likely to be painted prior to 2101???

So, I would suggest that it will be very similar to the J-10, unless they find something they need to "work-up" and change, that is just the normal course of flight test on an brand new aircraft, recall the initial carrier trials were all conducted "in the primer" by those early J-15s?

I believe AF-01 and AF-02 are still not wearing the RCS reduction coatings??

What is that thing in the mid-section of the fuselage?

Is that the same thing they have it on F-22?

Do you guys think China has implemented GaN (Gallium Nitride) chips on J-20 AESA ?
Has anybody? My understanding the hurdles are not in the chip but in packaging and thermal management. It also a whole package in terms of signal processors, data processors and data bus architecture.
